Hi there,
I have two women in mind that could possibly use your help. I have two questions: 1. Would you consider assisting someone who do not quite meet the age requirement? 2. How should I refer them to you?
Thanks in advance for your help!
-Marissa
Marissa,
Yes, they need to be 55 years old or over, however if they are under that age you can still send them to the Homeless Women’s Center and Natalia, the Resource Specialist here, can help them. Referrals to me can be sent to 1006 Bush Street on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8-4, or they can call me and set up an appointment. Because I can be in and out of the office a bit, the best way would be to make an appointment.

Hello! I am a student at SFSU and I have to do a volunteer project for class where I have to do either a fundraising activity, special event, or research project for a non-profit agency. I was looking for volunteer work that I can do from home because I have daycare issues and I am a single mom. I came across your ad for doing resource research or housing research from home and I would be interested in doing either project for my volunteer project. However, I wanted to know how many hours is expected for this project because I only have to do 20 hours of volunteer work for my class? Also, if you agreed to my class project, I would need to have you sign my agency placement letter which is just one signature asap to give to my teacher. Let me know. Thanks!
